Commonwealth Care Alliance celebrates 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

July 23, 2015 § Leave a comment

Yesterday, a group of Commonwealth Care Alliance employees joined hundreds of others gathered on the Boston Common to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). At the event, speakers and performers signaled the importance of the law, which was signed by President George H.W. Bush on July 26, 1990. Although many acknowledge that more needs to be done, the ADA has done much to combat discrimination and create “equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, integration and economic self-sufficiency for persons with disabilities.”

Happy 25th birthday, ADA!
