Doctors have long known – and a recent study has confirmed – that socioeconomic factors like income, education, and where a person lives have an enormous impact on health outcomes. This is particularly true for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, like those who are members of the One Care program.

In the latest podcast of our new series, Dually Heard, Dr. Toyin Ajayi, Commonwealth Care Alliance’s Chief of Medical Services, discusses the relationship between socioeconomics and health outcomes. She also explains the unique challenges confronting clinicians who work with the One Care population.
