New England Journal of Medicine publishes community paramedicine report

In a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Commonwealth Care Alliance’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Toyin Ajayi and her colleagues report on the progress of community paramedicine programs. Drawing on analysis of CCA’s pilot program, the paper describes how mobile integrated health care and community paramedicine can benefit patients, save money, and encourage healthcare professionals, regulators, payers and public health officials to find “new ways of thinking about local health care delivery along the continuum of care.”
