A new white paper published by Commonwealth Care Alliance and EasCare Ambulance looks at the early successes of the Acute Community Care Paramedic Program. The innovative program allows specially trained paramedics to provide urgent care in the comfort of CCA members’ homes, a model of healthcare delivery that benefits those with complex physical and behavioral health needs. Through the use of case reports, the paper demonstrates the program’s potential to enhance care, decrease hospitalizations, and improve clinical outcomes.
